Midi Ducker 1 is a Midi CC Output plugin that will take any Audio Signal and detect levels then convert them to a chosen Controller It can be used to send ie:Volume change messages to a Bus fader in Cubase SX. At present SX does not support sidechain routing so this is an ideal solution for Ducking a Dialogue track from Video detected from the Soundtrack. As the audio from the Dialogue feeds Midi Ducker it then sends a set amount of Gain down to a chosen Bus and turns Soundtrack fader down, with a long or short decay/attack. Midi Ducker 1 does not compress the original signal, it just turns down the gain. |
