Chordman 2005 description | |
Basically it works like this (in cubase at least): * Load CM2K as a vst instrument * create a midi track with MIDI IN as the input and CM2k as the output * create a midi track with the CM2k above as the input, and output to a vsti or external keyboard * Select the "monitor" button on one track and play/record on the other track Lower keyboard notes select the chord (eg: Major, Minor) that you have assigned to that key, upper keyboard notes transpose the selected chord. You can therefore assign 13 different chords, 1 to each note (C2-C3).. (NB: playing C2-C3 wont play the chord, it'll just select it's "type", ready for transposition by the upper keyboard) Assigning chords is a two step-process: 1) select the note you want to assign the chord to from the left hand list 2) select the chord you want to assign from the right hand list (if you highlight the midi select button then you can select a note from the left hand list by hitting the relative note on your keyboard) |
